Hey guys, I want to apologize for not posting a memory verse for December...time just slipped by too quickly last month.  So, this month I wanted to post two verses to memorize, one for December and one for January.  Something that I am constantly working on with memorizing scripture is dedication and consistency.  The more I put the scripture into my every day life, the better I learn it and the more I find it applicable to my needs.  In December, when I heard Beth Moore speak, she said that she always memorizes scripture from a different bible than the one she uses on a regular basis to avoid feeling like you know the verse.  I thought that was rather smart, so this month my verses are from The Message.  Here goes:

John 1:4:

The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.

1 Chronicles 29:17:

I know, dear God, that you care nothing for the surface—you want us, our true selves—and so I have given from the heart, honestly and happily.

Happy Memorizing!  If you are memorizing another verse this month, leave a comment at the bottom of the page for others to get ideas!

Till next time, let your light shine!

Blessings, christen
