Look what we've learned to do!!!!!!
In just the last week or so, the girls have learned how to officially sit up! It is so cute! Adeline has really found her center and has done well staying upright. Maralee can do it as well, but she is still a little hesitant to stay sitting....I think she still prefers to be on her back. We are so excited that they have reached this milestone!
Raleigh is also pumped because we just busted out the double jogging stroller. He has been waiting for this day since I was pregnant. Our stroller is really cool and not as big as you would expect. We think the girls really like both being able to face forward and see where we are strolling.
My mom got the girls these precious giraffe outfits for Christmas....I was trying to hold out for the zoo but we wore them the other day to Kindermusik. My little sweet potatoes looked too stinkin' cute that day!
We also got to celebrate one of our best friends b-days recently, sweet MH!!!!!! It was 60 degrees and sunny so we had the BEST time playing outside with all of our friends. Ahhh, warm weather here we come!
On Valentine's Day, we stopped by the NICU to give some our favorite nurses some sprinkled sugar cookies. We always love visiting those that took care of our babies!!!!!
It is funny, everywhere we go we get comments about the girls being twins. Some people turn their noses up and make remarks like, "Glad it's you and not me," but others are sweet as say things like, "Wow! Twins! What a blessing." I do my best to smile and be polite to the snide remarks but sometimes I just want to say, "Yea, I'm glad it's me with twins and NOT you!" I think for most people, they see twins as overwhelming and harder to handle. In reality, it just takes a little more planning logistically. For instance, if I am going to the grocery store with the girls, I have to make sure to have my Baby Bjorn carrier so I can carry one baby on me and put the other in the shopping cart. What is nice about the van is I can just leave all that stuff in there - right now I have our regular double stroller AND our double jogging stroller in the back....very convenient. I am also lucky to have such great friends - they will play with one baby while I change the others' diaper, etc. All in all, to me, having twins is the best thing that God ever gave me. I love tickling two bellies, seeing two smiles, and watching two sweet angels sleep tight. We ARE doubly blessed and I would not want it any other way!
Till next time, let your light shine!
