A labor-less weekend, that is what we had.  Our hearts were set on the highway, it was joyful expectation we craved. With night upon us, we layed  our weary heads down for rest.  We awoke to a day with overcast skies yet we still saw the beauty of the morning.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, lullabies, and lulling waves to cast my eyes to sleep.  In this dwelling place, the Spirit renewed my strength.

The last days of summer were upon us and we soaked up the remaining rays that she shined down on us.

We shrieked and delighted.

We walked and we squealed.

We were wrapped in our Father's embrace, held close so we would not be afraid.

Getting one last glimpse of summer as she dipped below the horizon, we waved goodbye as she bid us farewell.

With summer's departure, we greeted the traditions of fall.  Autumn rain covered us and we seeked shelter during our replenishment of Living Water.

Family gathered together to celebrate.

As our labor-less weekend slipped slowly by, we appreciated the simple moments given to us.  Our family drew comfort from the journey.  Enjoyment, peace, and tranquility replaced frustration, haste, and anxiousness.  We had a moment to breathe in the great Love that surrounds us always.

Blessed are we.

How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty!

My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD;

my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.

They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Psalm 84:1-2, 5-7, 11-12
