Five Minute Fridays is a writing flash mob held by the lovely Lisa-Jo at The Gypsy Mama. It’s where a community of writers come together and write about one word for five minutes. This week’s word is beloved .
This is for the young mamas, the ones who are exhausted from yesterday's sugar craze. For the moms who wrapped twelve gift bags to the latest Pinterest idea and the ones who stayed up late on Wednesday hemming their child's chevron pants to match their chevron heart appliqued shirt.
It's for the mamas who are trying to do everything right and hating themselves when they make a mistake.
It's for the mamas who tried to make jello hearts with their two year olds but their food craft turned into an ooey-gooey messy science experiment instead.
It's for the mamas who had sick children yesterday and might have missed all of the school party fun. Or, for the ones with husbands away and they have to muster an extra dosage of patience to clean up all the candy wrappers that still litter her floor.
It's for the mamas who have loads of laundry to fold and another basket full in the hamper.
It's for the mamas who say "Thank goodness it is Friday...let's go to Chick-Fil-A today."
Sweet mamas: you are beloved. You might not know it, you might not feel it, you might not even care out of sheer exhaustion, but you need to absorb this one incredible word given to us by God - the Ultimate Party Planner, Designer, Creator, Cleaner, and Chick-Fil-A lover:
YOU are beloved.
Till next time, let your light shine!
