My, oh, my what a beautiful day it is outside after all of that rain and drizzle.  This morning I actually had some time to start decorating our house for fall.  I'll try to get some pictures on here once I have it all together.  I think when the girls wake up we might go to the nursery down the street and pick up some pumpkins.  Should be fun (let's hope!).  So, I know I usually just go into my must-haves for each month, but since I am also doing the 31 days of Truth this October, I decided to combine the two.  I just couldn't stand going a month without sharing some of my favorite things with all of you!  Speaking of favorite things, one thing that I really love to do is be creative.  I know I mentioned this the other day in God loves a Fashionista, but I really do believe that the items I showcase each month on Chris10's are truly works of art.  I know that these things are just material and are not the most important parts of life, but they sure do make life a little more fun.  I think that is why shopping is so pleasurable - you get a chance to discover a treasure and you can't help but share it because it makes you too darn excited.  So, today on the 14th of October, I've gotta admit my Truth #13: I love things.  Below are 10 of my favorite things right now:

Emi Jay Hair Ties

I discovered these the other day and they make any pony tail glamarous. These adorable hair ties and head bands are made from two L.A. based teens that are donating part of their proceeds to Locks of Love.  Their website says, "Our hand-made hair ties and headbands are vibrant and come in an array of vivid and unique colors that add the perfect touch of flair to your hair. Best of all, they don't leave a dent, and double as a chic bracelet."

Pierced Open Work Pumpkins

Y'all know from last year that white pumpkins are a favorite of mine.  Well, when I saw these on Martha Stewart's fall ideas page, I instantly fell in love.  It would take some time but the results will surely make your neighbors jealous!

Nations Outfitters

I heart this company.  You will too.  Their clothes are on trend, affordable, and inspirational.  Their motto is, "It's what you do in your clothes that make you beautiful."  I love what they have to say on their website, "At Nations, we witness ordinary people just like you choosing to do extraordinary things throughout our cities, our country, and our world. We want to highlight you as a positive role model and the impact you are making on this generation."  This company is also based in Birmingham, which makes them even sweeter :)

Frye Melissa Trapunto Boots

Might a drool for a bit?  These gorgeous tan leather boots with a one inch heel are totally out of my price range but I must stop and stare.  Boots are my choice shoe of fall and winter.  They are the perfect finish to a layered top and jeans.  Or dresses.  Or skirts.  Or tights.  Really, they go with anything.  Love.

Pendant Necklaces

A must-have for every girl this fall.  Dress up a simple shirt with a pendant necklace and you are ready to go out in style.  I found this necklace by Kenneth Cole for only $30.  Love the disc pendant paired with the amethyst (a lovely fall color choice).  Now, if only I had those Frye boots to go with this necklace.....

Banner Boutique Headbands

I know that many companies make flower headbands, but the sweetness of the bows mixed with elegance makes Banner Boutique a favorite of mine.  They have a great selection of silk flowers, fabric & lace rossettes and raw silk.  This boutique also allows for them to be interchangeable which is great for a baby with lots of outfits!  They even have items for mommy too :)

Faux Fur Jacket

I am not a cougar on the prowl but I have to admit that I am digging the faux fur look this year.  I like it in pieces...not head to toe and I like it to look nice; not cheap.  I found this faux fur jacket and loved the detail of the 3/4 inch wide sleeves.  It makes the jacket look expensive but its actually under $90 (yay for me!).  It comes in the blonde color shown (which also looks expensive to me) black and leopard.  I'm ready to embrace this style to diva-up my look this year!

Cinda B Totes

What girl doesn't love a good tote?  Cinda B offers totes, handbags, travel bags and accesorries in tons of super chic patterns.  Cinda, who works behind the scenes for TBS's Movie and a Makeover, is an Atlanta-based designer with her bags made in the good ole USA. I love this saddlebag (that could easily double as a diaper bag) in Casablanca Sky Blue.  A great gift for the lady in your life.

Mix & Match

I love several things about this room.  First, the wall color is a perfect backdrop to your choice of painting, plate, mirror, etc. to hang.  Second, I love the round table.  It brings forth the feeling of warmth and home, which is one of the many reasons I love this time of the year.  Third, the painted chairs are lovely additions to the table they gather around.

Chunky Watch

My wrists are so tiny but I really want a gold chunky watch to wear!  Super fun accessory to jazz up any look.

Till next time, let your light shine!

Blessings, christen
