How has everyone's Monday been?  Anybody else tired?  I was running around the whole first part of the morning.  Monday is the day that the girls go to Mother's Morning Out.  So, I have to wake up on time on Mondays, which I didn't do today.  Then, I usually am rushing through my small group study so I can get breakfast cleaned up and start packing their lunch.  Today they had turkey, cheese, lima beans, and strawberry & banana fruit bars.  I had to send them to school with just water because we were out of juice.  I also worked hard yesterday to finish these cute fall dresses for them to wear but I forgot to do the button holes in the jumper so they went in a smocked outfit instead.  It was cute - a green one that their Gabby bought with tomatoes on it.  They have these red shoes with polka dots on them so they looked all matchy-matchy even though that wasn't what I intended them to wear. After I dropped them off, I headed to our local Christian radio station to record an ad for my church's Majesty Market on November 17th.  Y'all, it was too funny hearing my voice as John Norris spliced it together.  He said that I had an accent that was even slower than most Southerners; which I would have to agree.  It's like instead of saying "Majesty" it turns into "Maaaa-je-steeeee."  I can't help it.  Blame it on Dothan I guess :)

Finishing my good deed for the day, I headed to Publix where I ran into two sweet blog followers Lacy and Jennifer :).  I had been good last week and actually brought coupons with me and no babies so I thought this was going to be an excellent trip.  But, I had a headache and was the slow poke standing in front of the Zataran's rice trying to decide if buying four boxes was really worth saving a dollar.  I decided to just buy one box of Jambalaya figuring we could eat that one Saturday watching Auburn play.  Do any of you coupon?  Boy, it stresses me out.  I went to one of those classes when I was pregnant - got the book and everything from Southern Savers - but I just don't enjoy it.  I appreciate the money saved but the time that it takes to clip them and then make the purchases is almost too much to handle.  I ended up saving around $35 in all (with BOGO, Manufacturer, and Store coupons) so I was pretty pleased.  I guess I'm a mild couponer - don't think I will ever qualify for the extreme.  Hats off to those of you that can do that!

Anyway, here we are on the final stretch of 31 days of Truth.  What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?  I have really enjoyed doing this but I have to admit that my extra blogging time has cut into other areas of my life.  But, I love y'all so it's okay :).  One thing this week that I really want to strive for is for the truths to be about living confidently in Christ. An area of my life that I am working on the most is not to get so discouraged.  In order to do this, I've got to take away the "dis" in that word and live life with Courage.

One thing that I pray from this journey is that all of you will benefit from it.  I hope that all of you can live life truthfully and be a light that shines in this dark world.  I found a verse that I just had to use in John 3:21, "But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

Oh, how I love the imagery in this verse.  We live in a world that is so dark that we just can't see what's around us.  We get confused on what is right versus wrong and what we think we should be doing versus what we are actually doing.   We get so caught up in gossip, drama and the standards of this world that we forget that Jesus told us to love one another even when we've been wronged.  We trip on our way to the bathroom because no lights are on.

We need us some light.

If we start living our lives by the truth, as the verse says, we will come into the light.  When it's light, things look a little clearer don't they?   I'm starting to recognize the faces of Guilt, Shame, Stress, and Judgment and in return, I'm choosing not to play with them.  I would rather play with Confidence, Joy, Trust, and Peace.  They are so much more fun anyway.

Living in the Truth, we have the Holy Spirit to guide us in our choices instead of darkness.  John 14:17 says that the world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

As we go through this week, let's make a choice to live in the light.  To love, obey, and trust in the Truth given to us so freely and graciously.

Till next time, let your light shine!

Blessings, christen
