[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ome food, like fried cornbread, just scream home to me. It's the way it doesn't have an exact recipe, but it's more of a passing from generation to generation.  I love any chance I get to listen to our family members describe how they make certain foods.  I want to remember exactly how they describe cooking these family meals so I can one day teach my grandchildren what my grandmother taught me.

Fried cornbread has simple ingredients, but it's the combination of these ingredients that make it taste just right:
