Hooray for summer and Happy Memorial Day!
These are the days that are souls crave: sitting in the sun, eating fresh, and travelling with family and friends. Even if you are a working girl and don't officially get a summer, it's time to take a break from the routine and find time to savor the long, sweet days that summer brings.
All summer long, starting today through August 6th, I invite you to join me on Instagram (@chris10price) by capturing your summer memories with the hashtag #70daysofsummer. Each week, I'll be giving you a prompt to encourage your creativity this summer. Follow the feed and invite some friends to join us! Just follow and tag me when you use the hashtag so I can find you!
This week's prompt is: Let the Adventure Begin!
Sound fun? Here are five ways you can have an adventure this summer:
1. Put on a bathing suit and find yourself some water.
Does the thought of wearing a bathing suit make you want to cringe? This summer, find a swimsuit that you love and be confident in your body. Your kids will love the water time with you and already think you are beautiful.
2. Eat fresh.
If you have room in your yard, plant a garden or go to the farmer's market as a family. There is nothing like eating fresh zucchini or blueberries straight from the bush!
3. Sketch or journal
Processing your feelings through words or paint is a way to help you discover what you want the rest of your year to look like. Don’t worry about making it perfect.
Find a way to travel that fits your budget. Take a day trip or find discounted plane tickets and use your hotel points to travel somewhere fun. Traveling is a summer must-have!
5. Bring summer inside
A vase of fresh flowers or a few seashells around the house will encourage you to rest and relax. Find beauty in the peaceful and vibrant hues of summer.
Summertime only comes once a year. Make memories and make your days count!
