Creation was made to worship God. We see this through the creation story and how not only did God make the universe to worship Him, but He made you and I for worship. As we begin a new year, I wanted to share with you a few updates and also say a huge THANK YOU for your support in 2017. Moving forward, my prayer for you and I are to be people who live, truly live in the abundant goodness and grace of God.

It's easy to set goals to "live life to the fullest" but how does that look day to day, exactly? We can't escape into the wilderness from our work. Schedules are necessary. Planning and preparation are key to progressing in what we've set out to do for the day. Since birth, humans have thrived on rhythm and routine. We are people who work - we work at our jobs or at school, we manage our homes and nurture our children, we work out our bodies and we work at making our relationships count. As I've become aware of the necessity and beauty of work, I'm starting to understand that living life to the fullest is about carving space into our schedules so our day is not quite so full. We need space to breathe, space to notice, space to listen to our bodies, our hearts, and our people. These moments might only be for five minutes but they are five minutes that we can't afford ourselves to miss.

Sharing begins with small groups. God places people together in small groups to connect his church to greater serve the community. Just as we gather round the fire grill, waiting for the pizza to be fully cooked, so must the church gather in small groups to be in community. In today's post, we learn not only how to make a homemade pizza, but what living in the community looks like for the church.
I’ve never been great with my prayer time. It is usually sporadic or from memorization. I tried praying before bed each night with my husband but one of us would usually fall asleep before we finished. I’ve tried having prayer time at a scheduled time when I’m at work but someone always calls or an e-mail has to be answered. I’ve told people that I would pray for them and honestly forget. I’ve felt terrible about this because I’ve experienced how prayer can grow premature babies, keep a marriage strong, and build community.However, I’ve needed help being consistent with prayer.
